Huawei with its range of smartwatches entered the smartwatch market in 2015. Their first entry was the Huawei Watch, which had competitive specs and featured Android Wear OS.
Huawei has made some great smartwatches, with the Huawei Watch and Huawei Watch 2 ranking amongst the most favoured Android smartwatches. With the launch of its new GT smartwatches Huawei has decided to use its own bespoke OS, LiteOS, instead of Android Wear OS. By not running Android Wear OS Huawei has been able to create a brand new user experience, by doing so its wearables experience some of the longest lasting battery life’s on any smartwatch and still retain all the traditional features you expect to find on a modern day smartwatch.
Huawei also has a sister company, Honor, that produces budget price smartphones and wearables.
