Smartwatches come in all shapes, sizes and prices, so one is bound to suit you. We have compiled a list of the Best SmartWatches on the market in 2020.
One thing the Best smartwatches all have in common is that they can perform lots of tricks, like searching the internet with your voice, tracking your location with GPS or even monitoring your heart rate to protect your overall health.
These will likely work best when paired to one of the best smartphones on the market, but some of the models even work without a phone in tow.
All the top-end wearables you can buy right now from the Apple Watch to Fitbits to Garmin watches to Tizen-sporting Samsung watches. There’s also Wear OS which is Google’s own wearable operating system in the vein of Apple’s watchOS – you’ll see it show up in a lot of these devices.
You’ll also find plenty of cheap smartwatch deals available right now as well.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

One of the best smartwatches in the world right now
The Galaxy Watch 3 is among the best smartwatches available at the moment, topped only by the Apple Watch Series 6. The thinner, lighter body and larger display of the Galaxy Watch 3 make for a premium look, and the rotating bezel continues to outshine the competition as the most intuitive way to interact with a smartwatch.
Despite its name, the Galaxy Watch 3 is the immediate successor to Samsung’s original flagship Galaxy Watch (not counting the brand’s sporty Galaxy Watch Active line). It has all the same features as the older model including GPS, NFC and heart rate monitoring, but also adds some key new fitness-tracking abilities such as measuring your blood-oxygen levels and estimating your fitness, which is given via a VO2 max reading.
Perhaps the most notable difference with the new watch, though, is how it looks and feels. The Galaxy Watch 3 is much less bulky than the original (the 45mm model is 1.8mm thinner and 9g lighter than the original 46mm watch), making it appear more stylish and sophisticated
Apple Watch 6

One of the Best Smartwatches on the market for iPhone users
It’s unsurprising that the Series 6 is the best Apple Watch to date and remains the best smartwatch you can buy – if you have an iPhone that is.
The Apple Watch 6 – alongside the Apple Watch SE – is Apple’s latest wearable, and while the SE is relatively affordable, the Apple Watch 6 is the company’s top model. We’ve chosen Samsung’s smartwatch as the best choice for everyone, but it’s a very close race and if you’re an iPhone user you may find this is the very best option for you.
Fossil Gen 5

Fossil Smartwatches – Best for design
Fossil’s Gen 5 is a great all-round smartwatch in its own right but also serves as a triumph for the wider Wear OS contingent too. The new hardware and software render this a truly competitive offering against established players from the likes of Apple and Samsung.
The Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch may still boast a more responsive user experience but the Fossil Gen 5 narrows the gap more than ever before and better yet, it offers some of the most adaptable and flexible styling and aesthetics out there.
Fitbit Versa 2

Fitbit’s best smartwatch
The Fitbit Versa 2 is the latest part-smartwatch-part-fitness tracker from Fitbit, one of the most famous wearable companies about.
The Versa 2 brings a host of upgrades to the original Fitbit Versa, including an always-on display, Alexa integration, and a slightly smaller body.
But for general wearable fans, the Fitbit Versa 2 is a good option, and it’s more affordable than some of the other options on this list too.
Fitbit Versa Lite

Fitbit Smartwatches – Lighter but not lesser
The second best Fitbit on the list is the Fitbit Versa Lite, a more affordable version of the Fitbit Versa with a few of the features dropped.
The Versa Lite has a good range of fitness features, a battery that’ll last a good few days, and a body that’s quite small and light, and will fit on your wrist easily without you noticing it lots of the time.
Some of the features the Versa Lite misses over the Versa, or the Versa 2 listed previously, include no Fitbit Pay, no on-board GPS and a slightly less impressive screen. If you’re looking for a good smartwatch on a budget though, you might not mind some of these omissions.
TicWatch E2 – Smartwatch

A fully-loaded Wear OS watch you’ve never heard of.
One of the cheapest devices on this list, the TicWatch E2 is from a relatively small brand called Mobvoi but it has made a big splash with its latest couple of smartwatches.
The E2 is waterproof, comes with great battery life and it’s all available for an affordable price. For health, the watch comes with built-in GPS, an accurate heart rate sensor and sleep tracking. All of the fitness features you’d expect are here, but make sure you note that it won’t be able to do contactless payments as there’s no NFC onboard.
Honor Magic Watch 2

Magical – if you’re a fitness buff!
If you’re a fond exerciser but don’t think a dedicated sports watch is for you, then the Honor Magic Watch 2 might be the right smartwatch for you thanks to its set of fitness features.
The Honor Magic Watch 2 can also last for a long time without needing to be charged, up to a week or two weeks depending on which version you buy, and it looks pretty sleek too.
TicWatch Pro

Best 4G smartwatch for Android users
The original TicWatch Pro launched in 2018 and two years on, this 2020 refresh doesn’t rewrite the rulebook but that’s really no bad thing.
With such a feature-packed foundation, Mobvoi’s only seen fit to create a hardier and more refined design, as well as adding more memory to deliver a smoother user experience.
The dual display setup is still a very powerful standout feature in the wearable space, though. You can enjoy a fully-featured Wear OS smartwatch for three days or a simple digital watch for up to 30 days on a single charge.
Apple Watch 3

The cheapest Apple Watch right now!!
The Apple Watch 3 may not be the best piece of wristwear from the iPhone company, but it is the cheapest you can buy right now.
Apple continues to sell the Apple Watch 3, and the renewed price at its lowest ever has encouraged us to include the smartwatch on our list of the ten best again albeit right at the end.
The design is looking a little dated when compared to the Apple Watch 6 above – or the Apple Watch 4 and Apple Watch 5 – but it’s still a gorgeous piece of wristwear with a lot of the tech you’d want.
It’s also able to upgrade to the latest watchOS 7 software as well, making this a great addition to your Apple collection of gadgets. It isn’t for you if you don’t have an iPhone, but if you’re after a cheaper smartwatch this may be perfect.
